South Street Automotive was founded by Dan Barnhardt in 1979. Dan grew up working on and rebuilding cars with his father and uncle. It was during this time that Dan learned the value of every automobile, and learned how the right care and knowledge could extend the life and performance of any car or truck. When Dan graduated high school he entered the military and honorably served in Vietnam. After being discharged from the military and having an automotive background it seemed logical to go into the automotive industry where he has been able to help people get the full life out of their vehicle. Dan knows the value of having the right diagnostic tools to enhance his deep knowledge of the complete automotive system as well as understanding the pain of poor workmanship and not receiving quality repairs so he has striven to provide the best possible service to those who put their trust in him and his employees. Dan has fulfilled this dream by opening a business that would truly offer value to the community. He promised himself to always provide value and outstanding service, regardless of how large his business grew.
